Jesus endured the cross because of the joy set before Him — the joy of rescuing us and bringing us home to God. His joy stands stronger than struggle and suffering.
Consider
What do you sometimes look to other than Jesus to bring you joy?
How can we keep our eyes on Him when life feels hard?
What weight or sin that clings closely do you need to lay aside today?
Pray
Jesus, founder and perfecter of our faith, thank You for enduring the cross and considering it joy to save us. Help us find the strength and joy we need by looking to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
